About ToolWise Digital

Spreadsheets that do the work — built and checked, not generated and shipped.

ToolWise Digital makes practical Google Sheets & Excel templates and free calculators for people who run small businesses and freelance on their own — bookkeeping, invoicing, mileage, expenses, and self-employed taxes. The goal is simple: the tool should do the math and the remembering, so you can do the work.

Daniel Gil

Founder, ToolWise Digital

After years of running my own small business, I got tired of watching capable people lose hours — and real money at tax time — to disorganized books and software built for companies ten times their size. ToolWise Digital is my answer: genuinely useful Google Sheets and Excel templates for the money side of a small business, each one built and tested by hand. My rule is boring and non-negotiable — every formula is verified before launch, every claim is honest, and everything comes with a free phone-friendly version. I build every tool in the shop myself — and if it wouldn't help me run my own business, it doesn't ship.

How we build (and why it matters for your numbers)

A spreadsheet template is only worth anything if the formulas are actually right. So every workbook we ship goes through a real verification step before it ever goes live:

What you can trust — our standards, in writing

We'd rather be the boring, honest option than the flashy one. Concretely, that means:

What we make

Three things, all pointed at the same job — making the admin side of small, self-run businesses take minutes instead of weekends:

Who it's for

Freelancers, contractors and trades, solo service businesses, Etsy sellers, and anyone running a household or a side business who's tired of accounting software that's built for a company ten times their size. If a well-structured spreadsheet would genuinely serve you better than a $30/month platform — and for most solo operators it would — that's exactly who we build for.
